Factory annex collapses; 11 killed

The rooftop annex of the Konabari factory collapsed at 07:40, shortly after the morning shift commenced. 11 workers killed and 23 injured.

Two owners abscond; arrest warrants issued

Both factory owners absconded within two days. A Gazipur court issued arrest warrants. RAJUK confirmed no building permit for the annex.

No charge sheet after 15 months

Investigation ongoing; owners remain fugitive. Seven of 11 victim families received partial compensation; four have not.
